**In this role you will work in a Maintenance Dept team that keeps a facility running which coats/seals pipes used in the utility industries. This is a job for you if you like working with your hands both inside a building and outside in the sun **_**Only first-shift work is available**_**, with some overtime possible.**

The following sections provide an overview of the work conditions, mínimal requirements, physical and mental demands and expectations of the company. This General Job description is applicable to ALL hourly employees. These would include any production, maintenance, machine, forklift, crane and other operators, non-skilled laborers and skilled laborers as an example.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Effectively complete preventive and proactive maintenance per the schedule to prevent breakdowns on industrial equipment and vehicles.
- Prioritizes work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools and utility systems to minimize production downtime and completes all required paperwork and documentation in the company’s computerized maintenance documentation program.
- Utilizes maintenance documentation schedule to open and close out work orders, check out spare parts, and other activities as required in the plant.
- Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary.
- Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions utilizing mechanical devices.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ability to understand Operating and maintenance instructions, Technical procedures, read and interpret Diagrams and other procedure manuals.
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively with supervisors and other employees.
- Basic knowledge or experience with basic machine and hand tools.
- Ability to perform small welding projects and knowledge in using a burning torch.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Technical school degree/certification(s) a plus
- Minimum of 2-4 years experience

Pay $29.52 per hour - Union environment
