Position Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Milpitas. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical design for commercial buildings and be capable of managing a small team of electrical designers. This role involves working four days a week in the office and one day from home, providing a balance of collaborative and remote work.


Key Responsibilities:


- Project Management:

- Oversee and manage electrical design projects for commercial buildings from conception to completion.

- Coordinate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project objectives are met.

- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.


- Electrical Design:

- Perform electrical design work, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems.

- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.

- Conduct design reviews and quality control checks.


- Team Management:

- Supervise and mentor 1-2 electrical designers, providing guidance and technical support.

- Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.

- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.


- Client Interaction:

- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.

- Provide technical expertise and solutions to client inquiries.

- Participate in client meetings and presentations.


- Documentation and Reporting:

- Prepare detailed project documentation, including design calculations, drawings, and specifications.

- Produce regular project status reports and updates for internal and client review.


Requirements:


- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design and project management, specifically in commercial buildings.

- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools.

- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

- Flexibility to work four days in the office and one day from home.
