Our Challenge:

As a Data Engineer, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the business to work on complex technical requirements. You will be responsible for managing multiple engagements, prioritize and resolve complex problems and escalate as necessary, in a fast-paced environment.


The Role

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support business intelligence and analytics requirements using Hadoop Hive, Teradata, and SQL Server.
  2. Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and stakeholders to understand and document business requirements for data integration, transformation, and reporting.
  3. Implement and optimize data workflows to process and analyze large-scale datasets, leveraging your expertise in querying Hadoop Hive, Teradata, and SQL Server.
  4. Design and develop data models, data marts, and data warehouses to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
  5. Work closely with Business Objects to design and implement reporting solutions, and optimize queries and data retrieval for performance and efficiency.
  6. Implement security, compliance, and governance best practices across data infrastructure and business intelligence solutions.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data security, data quality, and governance best practices are implemented.
  8. Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data engineering and business intelligence to drive continuous improvement and innovation.


Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong emphasis on Business Intelligence, querying Hadoop Hive, Teradata, and SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in querying and optimizing data retrieval in Hadoop Hive, Teradata, and SQL Server for business intelligence and analytics needs.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing for business intelligence and reporting.
  • Familiarity with Business Objects for designing and implementing reporting solutions and optimizing data retrieval for performance and efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of data security, compliance, and governance best practices in the context of business intelligence and reporting.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.


It would be great if you also had:

  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms such as Azure Data Lake, AWS Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with data streaming platforms and technologies for real-time data ingestion and processing.
