Operations Lead

Mimi's Prom is hiring for our 2025 Prom Team. We are looking for someone positive, upbeat, organized, and detail oriented as our operations lead. This role focuses on implementing, and managing operations processes and systems to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction. At our front desk you must excel in customer service & communication when representing our brand. In receiving you must be detail oriented & organized in receiving new inventory. As a family owned - woman led business our mission at Mimi's is to create an unparalleled experience for our customers as well as a positive work environment for our employees.
Great for current college students or paid internships.
Part or full time availability.
**Must have Saturday & Sunday (Sundays are seasonal Jan-mid April) availability through our in seasons timeframes.
Responsibilities:
Receiving Operations:
- Working behind the scenes inputting & receiving new inventory, special orders, etc.
- Learning our POS system & procedures of use accordingly.
- Working in our POS system with purchase orders, invoices, orders, etc.
- Inspecting, organizing, & tagging inventory to be steamed as it comes in & getting it ready to go out onto the sales floor.
- Keeping current inventory up to date. Price changes, performing physical inventory, ensuring codes are correct per style, etc.
- Keeping accessory area filled with current inventory if we need to replace from back stock. Ensuring it’s all tagged & ready for an easy checkout when sold.
- Coordinating boxes shipping out.
- Coordinating in store orders for items needed in stock room: breathable bags, long & short clear bags, hangers, dress tags, jewelry cards, earring cards, discount cards, fragile tags, etc.
- Good communication skills with your leadership team as well as our stylists.
- Staying detailed oriented & very organized.
- Keeping the receiving room clean & tidy everyday. Ensuring all boxes are broke down, bags, & hangers received to organize or take to dumpster.
Front Desk Operations:
Leading our front desk employees & ensuing their time & skills are being used efficiently. Making sure our front desk daily to do list is completed daily including opening, throughout the day, & closing tasks.
- Assisting in onboarding all front desk employees to our team including interviews, communications, onboarding, training, creating front desk schedule and overseeing daily tasks once hired.
- Excellent communications skills with our team & customers. Our front desk is the forefront of our brand. It is also a very fast paced environment you must be able to multitask & problem solve quickly & efficiently.
- Greeting customers & coordinating appointments with leadership team + stylists.
- Ability to completely operate our POS system, Bridal Live.
- Make appointments, check out customer purchases, ability to add dresses that have not being received yet to checkout, check inventory for SO’s, coordinate appointment’s on the schedule with our procedures, receive inventory.
- Ensuring sales are processed accurately for each of our customers.
- Keeping up to date and accurate information on all customer interactions - taking notes when needed.
- Ensuring our phones are answered with excellent customer service. Knowledge of all common FAQ’s and completed phone training. Listen to voicemails, coordinate call back, text, etc.
- Ensuring all text messages are responded to with excellent customer service.
- Ability to be detail oriented, organized, & can multitask.
- Professional attitude and a well groomed appearance that aligns with our stylist expectations. Our leadership team will lead by example.
- Excellent work ethic. Ability to be a team player, to work in unison as apart of our leadership team, positively leading our team. Being punctual, self-motivated, and dependable.
- Ensuring you and our front desk employees lead with excellent interpersonal skills. Friendly, polite, and a positive attitude is essential.
- Ability to make customers feel at home and make sure all front desk interactions are positive.
- Ability to work & ensure others can work independently and as a part of a sales team.
- Ability to be trained and be able to retain the information then to be able to implement the trainings learned.
- Ability to learn new things and break old habits.
- Knowledge of store inventory styles, trends, & designers we carry.
- Make copies, print forms, order & stock supplies, etc.
Qualifications:
- Being positive & having confidence in yourself that in return instills confidence & positivity into our team members.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all customers, their entourage, & employees.
- Employees are expected to provide excellent customer service when representing our store & brand.
- Ability to be trained, retain information, & implement.
- Must have weekend availability. Saturday & Sunday. Sundays afternoon hours from early Jan-mid April.
