We are partnering with a specialized logistics solutions provider looking to fill a new VP of Business Development role here in West Palm Beach, FL. As the Vice President of Business Development at this freight brokerage company, you will be a strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth and developing strong client relationships within the logistics and transportation industry. Your expertise in sales strategy and industry knowledge will be pivotal in achieving the company's business objectives. This role is designed for a current Freight Broker who wants a reliable system and proven name in the industry with very competitive earning potential.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and execute the overall sales strategy, aligning with company goals and market trends.
  • Set ambitious sales targets and objectives, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed.


Client Relationship Management:


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects in the transportation and logistics industry.
  • Understand client needs, challenges, and objectives to tailor solutions that address their unique requirements.
  • Lead negotiations for major contracts and partnerships, driving mutually beneficial outcomes.


Revenue Generation:


  • Drive revenue growth by developing and implementing effective sales strategies, including identifying new market opportunities and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Monitor sales pipelines, forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure consistent achievement of revenue targets.


Cross-functional Collaboration:


  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Customer Service, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless execution of client solutions and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Provide input into product and service offerings based on customer feedback and market demands.


Reporting and Analysis:


  • Generate and analyze sales reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and make informed strategic decisions.


Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Minimum of one year’s experience as a broker/transportation solutions provider with an established customer base.
  • Experience in brokering FTL and flatbed freight.
  • Proven track record of successful sales leadership and revenue growth within the freight brokerage or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of transportation and logistics operations, market dynamics, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM and sales management tools.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
