Overview:

A prestigious AM LAW 100 firm is seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal to join their intellectual property team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in trademark law, specifically within a law firm setting. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team on a diverse range of high-profile trademark matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file trademark applications with the USPTO and international trademark offices, including gathering all necessary documentation and performing searches.
  • Assist attorneys with trademark prosecution, clearance, and registration processes.
  • Manage trademark portfolios for clients, including deadlines, renewals, maintenance filings, and tracking.
  • Conduct comprehensive trademark searches and prepare reports for clients, including assessing potential conflicts and risks.
  • Assist with the drafting of office action responses, statements of use, declarations, and other legal documents.
  • Manage and track domestic and international trademark filings, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Provide administrative support for trademark litigation, including document management, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Coordinate communication with clients, foreign counsel, and government agencies regarding trademark matters.
  • Maintain and organize trademark databases, docketing systems, and client files.
  • Stay updated on developments in trademark law, regulations, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a trademark paralegal in a mid to large-size law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of trademark law, procedures, and regulations, both domestically and internationally.
  • Experience with the USPTO filing system, as well as other trademark offices, and proficiency in filing and docketing software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong client service orientation with the ability to manage relationships with both internal teams and clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program is preferred.
