Job Description: 


The Rehab Medical Assistant II is a vital member of the rehabilitation team, providing direct patient care and assisting with administrative tasks. This role involves working closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in a rehabilitation setting. 


Responsibilities: 


 1. Assist in patient care tasks, such as monitoring vital signs, assisting with mobility, and administering prescribed medication under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional. 

2. Prepare and maintain patient records, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of all information. 


3. Assist in the planning and implementation of individualized patient treatment plans under the guidance of a therapist or physician. 


4. Provide emotional support to patients and their families, helping them understand the rehabilitation process and cope with their health conditions. 

5. Coordinate patient appointments, tests, and procedures, ensuring seamless communication among all healthcare providers. 


6. Maintain clean and safe treatment areas, adhering to all infection control and safety guidelines. 


7. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on the latest rehabilitation techniques and healthcare regulations. 

8. Assist with patient transportation and positioning, respecting patient comfort and safety. 


9. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising physician or rehabilitation manager. 


Qualifications: 

1. High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program is preferred. 


2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize with and provide support to patients. 

3. Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures, with a particular focus on rehabilitation techniques. 


4. Comfortable with using electronic medical record systems and other computer-based technologies. 


5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 

6. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 


7. Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and perform other physical tasks as needed. 


8. BLS/CPR certification preferred but will provide upon employment if needed v
