Role: Test Automation Architect

Location: Alpharetta GA -(Hybrid model 3 days from office)


Job Description:

Design and implement automation frameworks and strategies to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness

Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates on testing progress and results

Collaborate with clients to understand their testing requirements and provide solutions to meet their needs

Manage client expectations and ensure timely delivery of testing projects

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications

Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and emerging technologies in automation testing

Provide technical guidance and support to design and implement automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Groovy, Ant, Shell scripting, Ready API, Maven, NodeJS, Bash scripting, and Fortify.

Lead the design and development of the Test Automation framework and any in-house tools required.

Conduct research to identify suitable automation frameworks, tools, and methodologies.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Test Architects and Test Leads to analyze current processes and practices.

Define improvements for test strategy, test frameworks, infrastructure, tools, and test coverage.

Shape an agile testing strategy that aligns with automotive partners' demands and industry standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

8+ years of experience in quality assurance and automation testing

Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#

Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar

Proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks

Proficiency in tools like Postman, SoapUI, and API/Web service testing using ReadyAPI.

Experience with Ant, Maven, Jenkins, and TeamCity.

Familiarity with Jira for defect logging.

Knowledge of security testing practices.

Understanding of relational databases and writing performant SQL.

Ability to design and implement computing grids used in testing.

Experience with Selenium for web automation.

Data Persistence: Familiarity with data persistence (e.g., Hibernate, SQL).

Java Libraries/Frameworks: Working knowledge of Java libraries/frameworks (e.g., CXF, JAXB, Spring).

Familiarity with Maven, GIT, Stash, Tomcat, and Eclipse/IntelliJ.
