Multifamily Asset Management Associate - Real Estate Investment and Development

First things first… 


This is an onsite position supporting our Asset Management team and will be responsible for maximizing the value of our assets and executing asset-specific business plans. The position is focuses on supporting Foxfield’s growing residential multifamily investment platform. 


This role involves addressing complex challenges with analytical proficiency. It requires a combination of independent work, effective stakeholder communication, and the ability to present solutions. Strong writing skills are also essential for simplifying complex investment concepts.

What you’ll be doing 

  • The Asset Management Associate will primarily be responsible for the net operating income of a portfolio
  • Execute asset-specific business plans
  • Identify and implement income generating and cost reducing strategies
  • Coordinate annual budgeting process, including forecasting of capital plan
  • Prepare and oversee monthly/quarterly/annual reporting including market valuations, cash flows and cost analysis, risk factors, and operational efficiencies
  • Oversee relationship with third party property management and related vendors, ensuring performance is consistent with underwriting assumptions and set budgets
  • Re-forecast asset performance from asset to investor level
  • Maintain lender and brokerage relationships
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers
  • Coordinate investors site visits
  • Assist in the financing of new and refinancing of existing assets
  • Execute capital projects and unit renovations
  • Support Due Diligence efforts for new acquisitions
  • Prepare assets for disposition, including coordinating third party broker efforts and assembling and maintaining data room
  • Assist other company stakeholders with local market expertise
  • Frequent on-site visits are required, ability to travel is critical


Requirements 


What will make you successful in this role (skills)

  • 3-5 years of real estate experience with a focus on asset management or Property management
  • Undergraduate degree with outstanding academic record
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint & Word
  • Working knowledge of accounting, investment and financial concepts
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Self-starter
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent writer with the ability to convey complex investments in a simple manner
