Position Summary:

They are seeking a Trade Finance Specialist to join their dynamic team. Based in Montvale, NJ, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient financial transactions, compliance with regulations, and maintaining strong banking relationships. Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Conduct bank deposits and perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
  • Track, manage, and communicate inventory out-of-stocks.
  • Verify customer payment discrepancies and resolve billing issues.
  • Research and validate customer trade deductions and disputes as necessary.
  • Maintain compliance and regulatory adherence, monitoring all disputes.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • Generate reports detailing accounts receivable status and reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate posting.
  • Identify discrepancies, irregularities, and fraud risks in documents and transactions, taking appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure all trade transactions comply with internal policies, international trade regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) standards, and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as required.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, international trade, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting, AR/AP, bookkeeping, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel; experience with Mineral Tree or other AP software strongly preferred.


Preferred Skills:

  • Aptitude for numbers and responsiveness to detail.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain good banking relations.
  • A strong understanding of trade finance principles and international trade regulations.
  • Experience with the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry preferred.
