Summary: Oversee all chain grocery retail accounts, lead product launches, establish pricing strategies, and manage field merchandising teams. Grow sales and work with vendors to identify new product opportunities and ensure successful execution at the store level.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Manage relationships with all chain grocery retail accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and driving sales growth.

·      Lead introducing new products to accounts, including coordinating with internal teams and customers to ensure successful setup and launch.

·      Establish competitive pricing strategies that align with company goals and market trends.

·      Supervise and provide strategic direction for field merchandisers, ensuring optimal product placement and store execution.

·      Identify and pursue new opportunities to expand product offerings and grow the business within the retail grocery sector.

·      Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities to guide decision-making and strategy.

·      Monitor and analyze sales data, account performance, and merchandising effectiveness, providing regular updates to senior leadership. Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers in the chain grocery pillar to generate new sales opportunities.

Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a relevant field. A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and best practices.

Language Skills – Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and business community members. Ability to effectively present information to both leadership and customers. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.

Mathematical Skills – Ability to utilize basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an average knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.

Lead a highly effective executive-level discussion and influence the industry or market direction through sales programs. Understand the competition.

Care and Use of Equipment: The extent to which the employee can perform all maintenance and operations checks of job-related equipment. Understands how the equipment functions properly and can suggest solutions if needed.

Customer Service: Refers to the ability to satisfy the expectations and requirements of customers. Displays courtesy and sensitivity and responds quickly to service requests. Identifies customer needs and explains services clearly. Handles difficult situations.

Communication: Communication refers to the ability to inform orally and in writing with clarity and good effect. It means to understand clearly and quickly when instructions or orders are received. It means judgment about what information is important and what is not, and what should be communicated, how, to whom and when.

Time Management: Uses his/her time effectively and efficiently. Values time. Concentrates his/her efforts on the more important priorities. Gets more done in less time than others. Can attend to a broader range of activities.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50 percent of the time while operating their computer and performing office work. The individual needs to occasionally move about inside the office and customer locations, as well as moving in and out of a vehicle. They must be able to legally follow state and local laws while operating a motor vehicle. They constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. They must be able to exchange accurate information with customers and others in the office while interacting. The employee must regularly move up to 15 pounds, manually move up to 40 pounds. The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and make adjustments as necessary. 


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Travel is required to service existing and potential accounts on a regular basis.This position is an on-site position with 30 to 50 percent travel. When not traveling, the employee will be in-office. While performing the duties of this job, the individual frequently works in a controlled climate. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
