Litigation Associate

Civil Litigation Associate (Salary + Quarterly bonus)

Tallant Howell is a reputable law firm located in Cumming, Georgia. The firm is looking to expand and is seeking a personable, motivated, and skilled civil litigation attorney to join the team. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, have excellent writing skills, and a well demonstrated interest in litigation. Caseload will include Fiduciary Litigation, Property Litigation, Business Litigation and Government Litigation.

The ideal associate will have between two - and five years’ experience in one or all of the above-mentioned areas.

Responsibilities

• Represent businesses and individuals on a variety of legal matters.
• Handle important contract disputes.
• Provide knowledgeable and relatable input to assigned cases.
• Show a great attention to detail and communication with client and primary attorney on the case.
• Work on real property disputes.
• Assist with Government representation.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Provide support in case management.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Georgia State Bar and in good standing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Lexis+.
• Microsoft suite skillset.
• Self-starter who exhibits a sense of urgency on behalf of client’s needs.
• Effectively prioritize work and business needs.
• Excellent oral, interpersonal, and writing skills in English.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent deadlines.
