Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to support our client as a contractor, with a “right-to-hire” at their New York City telecommunication office as Chief of Staff to the Leadership team. The role is hybrid work, requiring 3 days in the office. In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for creating Executive presentations using PowerPoint and delivering strategic special projects for the sales operation organization. Your ability to drive projects, and PowerPoint creation skills are key to being successful in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

The Chief of Staff is a director equivalent position responsible for supporting and assisting the top leadership in a corporate environment. Responsibilities include:

  1. Communication: Managing communication flow within the organization, ensuring information reaches relevant parties. Creating PowerPoint presentations to ensure the strategic direction of the organization is well presented and understood.
  2. Strategic Planning: Assisting in the development and execution of long-term strategic plans.
  3. Program Management: Overseeing and driving key projects and initiatives within the organization.
  4. Team Leadership: Managing and leading staff in a cross functional manner.
  5. Executive Support: Providing administrative support to the leadership team, including drafting documents and reports.
  6. Executive Liaison: Serving as a point of contact between the Senior Leaders and other departments or external stakeholders.
  7. Calendar and Time Management Managing the executive's schedule, ensuring meetings, events, and priorities are well-organized.
  8. Problem Solving: Resolving issues and challenges that arise in the organization.
  9. Crisis Management: Playing a key role in crisis management and helping the organization navigate difficult situations.
  10. Financial Oversight: Managing budgets and financial planning in some cases.
  11. Interdepartmental Collaboration: Promoting collaboration and alignment across different departments or divisions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  2. Proven track record of at least 5 years in Chief of staff assignment. At least 3-5 years in a leadership capacity.
  3. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  4. Strong understanding of sales processes, techniques, and customer relationship management.
  5. Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics and make informed decisions.
  6. Must have the ability to work independently in an environment where there are a lot of opportunities to drive process changes.

The Chief of Staff is often in a highly trusted and confidential role, acting as a right-hand person to the top executive and helping to ensure the organization's success and smooth operation.
