Job Summary

The Procurement Manager at Fuel Me LLC plays a crucial role in optimizing fuel procurement, ensuring competitive pricing, and maintaining supply continuity across the U.S. Leveraging deep industry knowledge, this specialist navigates national pricing and wholesale market dynamics to protect and benefit the company. The role requires strong vendor relationship skills, strategic collaboration with internal teams, and a keen awareness of market trends and regulatory changes. This position is vital for driving innovation and operational efficiency within Fuel Me, embodying the company's commitment to excellence and industry leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement: Strategically procure a variety of fuel products, including Red Dye Diesel, Clear Diesel, Bioblends, CNG, LPG, Kerosene, Ethanol, Lubes, Hydrogen, Marine Fuel, and DEF, ensuring optimal pricing and supply continuity.
  • Market Navigation: Utilize deep industry knowledge to navigate national pricing structures and wholesale market tactics, preventing exploitation and securing advantageous terms for Fuel Me.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with a nationwide network of fuel vendors, negotiating aggressively to ensure Fuel Me benefits from the best possible pricing and service terms.
  • Collaborative Forecasting: Collaborate with internal teams to forecast fuel demands accurately, facilitate timely deliveries, and manage inventory effectively, aligning with Fuel Me's operational goals and customer commitments.
  • Market Insight: Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to inform procurement strategies and mitigate risks.
  • Innovation and Change: Champion innovation and embrace change within the organization, contributing to Fuel Me's mission to transform the fuel industry through efficiency and technology.
  • Compliance and Integrity: Ensure compliance with all industry standards and regulations, maintaining Fuel Me's reputation for reliability and integrity.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, with a strong preference for candidates with specific training or certification in the fuel industry.
  • Extensive experience in procurement within the fuel industry, with a proven track record of managing national pricing and negotiating with wholesalers.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to anticipate market changes and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Robust negotiation and relationship management skills, with a history of securing favorable terms from fuel suppliers.
  • Excellent communication abilities, with the skill to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
