Staff Cloud Systems Engineer


Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Cloud Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in migrating existing systems to the cloud, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. Your expertise will be vital in supporting a wide range of IT systems and services, including our corporate virtualization environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Migration & Infrastructure Management:

  • Lead and execute cloud migration projects, ensuring seamless transition of existing systems to cloud environments.
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Optimize cloud architecture for performance, cost, and security.


Identity & Access Management:

  • Develop and maintain robust cloud identity and access management solutions.
  • Implement best practices for security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.


Configuration Management & Automation:

  • Utilize Configuration Management and Configuration Orchestration tools such as Ansible and Terraform to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) practices for efficient and repeatable deployments.


Scripting & Automation:

  • Create and maintain scripts using languages like Bash, PowerShell, Python, or PHP to automate routine tasks, improve efficiency, and ensure consistency across environments.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate scripts into CI/CD pipelines.


Network Engineering & Security:

  • Design and implement networking solutions in cloud environments, including DNS, Load Balancers, Gateway Devices, and Web Application Firewalls.
  • Ensure robust network security, monitoring, and troubleshooting capabilities.


Device Management & Security:

  • Manage and configure devices using Microsoft Intune, ensuring compliance with corporate security policies.
  • Implement device management solutions for security, configuration, and monitoring.


Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide advanced support for a wide range of IT systems and services, including the corporate virtualization environment.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.


Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience with cloud migrations and deep proficiency in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud identity and access management solutions.
  • Proven experience with Configuration Management and Configuration Orchestration tools, such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, PHP, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of networking topologies and engineering, including DNS, Load Balancers, Gateway Devices, and Web Application Firewalls.
  • [Preferred] Experience with Microsoft Intune for device management, configuration, and security.
