Senior Underwriter

Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Senior Underwriter to their Corporate Synergies team in Philadelphia Metro Region.

Job Summary:

The Senior Underwriter works independently providing technical support and service to the Account Management team.

Essential Functions:

• Gathering account and historical data and preparing monthly reporting package for assigned clients
• Reviewing carrier renewals and related carrier interaction
• Creating budget projections and premium equivalent rates for assigned clients
• Create mid-year pre-renewal projections for fully insured clients on an as needed basis
• Prepare ad hoc claims analysis as needed

Competencies & Qualifications:

• Ability to develop strong relationships, both with the clients and with the CSG team
• Knowledge of carrier processes and plan designs
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient in the use of office databases and presentation software (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Organization and attention to detail
• Flexible, multi-task abilities
• Ability to work in both a team environment and independently

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of underwriting experience with a health and welfare carrier or broker providing account management services and support to clients of 100 lives or more
