As an integral part of the Human Resources team, the HR Talent Development & Engagement Supervisor has primarily responsible for the oversight and facilitation of the Employee Learning, Professional Development, and Employee Engagement functions for the Office of Human Resources.



Job Responsibilities


  • Supervise the team of talent development specialists in assessing and identifying professional development needs organization-wide and lead the identification and/or development of professional development curriculum, in alignment with our organization-wide professional development strategies and policies.
  • Organize agency wide implementation of programs, projects, and initiatives to include workforce planning & succession planning initiatives.
  • Conduct staff training on HR related topics, in alignment with our organization-wide professional development strategies and policies.

Talent Engagement Job Duties & Responsibilities (25%)

  • Supervision of the talent engagement specialist to include management of programs that align with company objectives, including wellness initiatives, diversity and inclusion efforts, recognition programs, and more.
  • Organize employee engagement strategies that encompass short-term and long-term objectives, aligning them with the company's mission and values.
  • Support the implementation, execution, and ongoing management of employee engagement programs, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Ability to get along and work effectively with others.
  • Excellent organizational development and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with diverse staff and internal customer base.

Minimum Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of management experience in area of assignment OR Six years of experience required in area of assignment AND One year of management experience in area of assignment. Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
