Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Java Cloud Architect with a strong background in the banking domain to join our technology team. The Java Architect will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale, secure, and robust Java applications that align with our bank’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java technologies in a financial services environment and a deep understanding of banking operations and regulatory requirements.


The Role:

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and architecture of complex Java applications within the banking sector.
  • Analyze and evaluate business requirements to develop architectural blueprints that integrate with existing systems.
  • Provide technical leadership in all aspects of software development, including application design, coding standards, and performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure that the architectural solutions meet technical and functional needs.
  • Mentor and guide development teams on Java best practices, design patterns, and frameworks.
  • Oversee the development of proof-of-concept models and assist with the technical roadmap for Java-based projects.
  • Ensure compliance with banking industry standards and regulations such as GDPR, SOX, and PCI DSS.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, libraries, and frameworks to improve the performance and maintainability of Java applications.
  • Manage risks associated with program implementation and product release.
  • Lead the resolution of technical issues that arise during the development lifecycle.
  • Document and maintain architectural frameworks and decisions for future reference and reuse.
  • Implement and manage Kafka messaging solutions to enhance data streaming and integration across applications.


Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in Java/J2EE application development.
  • Strong experience in the banking domain with a good understanding of financial products and services.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Spring Boot, Microservices, Core Java, and Kafka messaging.
  • Expertise in Java and J2EE technologies, microservices architecture, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RESTful web services.
  • Knowledgeable in enterprise application integration, middleware, and messaging technologies.
  • Proficient in database design and SQL with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL.
  • Experienced with DevOps tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
