This is an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Project Manager to serve on large-scale IT Strategy projects You will manage the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation. The main effort for the resource will be on application development projects.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage scope, requirements, timeline, cost, quality, human resources, communications and integration
  • Identify and manage risks/issues and development of mitigation plans
  • Lead meetings for status reporting, scheduling, requirements, resource assignments, and deliverables
  • Maintain document control and track project activities and team communications
  • Prepare project reports and dashboards as required by the management team
  • Ensure the project repository is built and maintained
  • Develop and review project status with the project team and create weekly reports
  • Manage outsourced teams (off-site), including vendor engagements
  • Develop and publish communications to project teams, management, and project stakeholders
  • Provide guidance on process and deliverables to the project team
  • Lead project teams in strategic meetings and follow up with meeting notes


This is a 12-month contract opportunity that will auto-renew each year. This position is a hybrid position in the Midtown area You will be required to be in the office two days a week. This is an excellent opportunity for a long-term contract located in Midtown with close access to MARTA. It is located in a brand-new office building with exciting new amenities (gym, cafe, food court, etc.).


REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 8+ years of Senior PM experience including management of concurrent projects
  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Scrum Master leading a software development team diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory, and knowledge of additional Agile approaches (Scaled Agile, Kanban, Release Train Engineer, etc.)
  • Application development project experience
  • Strong experience with a PPM tool such as MS Projects, Sharepoint, or MS Office (Visio, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Active CSM and PMP (pursuing or active)
  • Experience engaging with 3rd party vendors
  • Excellent Jira experience
  • Must have the capability to flex across Scrum Master, Project Manager and Program Manager roles
  • No job hoppers (most contracts should be a year plus)
  • Excellent communication skills and very consultative
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, engineering, or a related discipline with an information technology focus; M.B.A. degree desirable


PREFERRED:

  • SAFe is a huge plus
  • Jira Align
  • Oneplan experience is a plus
  • Experience transitioning from Waterfall to Agile paired with a strong Agile background, specifically SCRUM and SCALED AGILE
  • Prior experience managing transportation, logistics or asset management projects preferred
