• Direct and lead preparation of engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages.

• Develop infrastructure installation schedules.

• Hands-on experience and guide highly technical systems engineers, Server installations including Windows Server, Oracle OEL, Linux, and Database Support

• Assist design of network installation configuration for new sites, support decommissioning of a site, and assist in moves, and support computer systems and peripherals.

• Coordinate with internal and external teams for procurement, installation, and management of network-related inventory (switches, routers, servers, storage solutions, etc.).

• Travel to customer sites and perform deployment activities, site surveys, install hardware, install software, remove hardware, and check the hardware for shipment that connects to the network. Organize and direct hardware installations and support site surveys.

• Conduct Training sessions to ensure all team members are cross-trained in supported technology and provide Tier III network technical issue resolution, which also includes infrastructure-related problems.

• May lead functional teams or projects Requires depth and/or breadth of expertise and all other tasks as assigned by the Network/Server Lead.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Prepare drawings documenting configuration changes at each site.

• Prepare site installation and trip reports.

• Train site personnel in the proper use of hardware.

• Respond to requests and document actions taken in a ticketing system.


Job Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology, focusing on networking, Cisco router and switch configuration, LAN, and WAN management.

• Hands-on experience and expertise in the installation and management of public and/or private networks such as Internet protocol (IP) networks, wide area networks (WANs), switches, routers (Cisco), and troubleshooting servers and networks to provide maximum performance.

• Hands-on experience with server installations including Windows Server, Oracle OEL, Linux, and Database Support.

• Must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates; briefings; or interface with co-workers; leadership as well and customers.

• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making.

• Experience in Customer Service.

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Productivity applications.

• One or more technical certifications in networking (e.g. CCNA, CCST, CCNP) required.

• Must be able to travel up to 25% CONUS and/or OCONUS.


Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelors degree highly preferred.

• Prior experience supporting network and server installation, integration, and support in a Federal government enterprise environment.

• Experience contributing as part of an Agile team.

• Experience with MS Power Automate, MS Dynamics, MS Power BI, MS SQL Server, Oracle, and VMWare.

• One or more technical certifications (Comp TIA ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+, MS Endpoint Administrator, etc.) highly preferred.


Security Clearance Requirements:

• A current and active DoD Secret clearance
