CBC is a PR and Digital Marketing agency. Our strength is creating experiences that bring brands to life, and drives consumers to action. Our heritage is in public relations and brand positioning, but today our programs are an integrated mix of social media and influencer marketing, content development and distribution, media relations, and smart, succinct paid media. While we are remote, our team members are primarily based in the Boston, MA, and New York City, NY markets.
Our team is looking for an Account Coordinator, PR & Activation to support our lifestyle PR team and clients, working on accounts and events in the food & beverage, beauty, and health & wellness spaces.
The Account Coordinator excels in getting things done and tracking all the details that go into successfully supporting client programs, campaigns, and events. The AC has strong organizational skills and is motivated to forge media relationships and secure coverage on behalf of their clients.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide administrative support for the PR & Activation team (taking diligent notes on calls, creating agendas and recaps, etc.)
- Compile and circulate daily brand monitoring alerts with client press coverage and relevant industry news and happenings
- Research awards, events, and speaking opportunities for clients and maintain updated lists of relevant opportunities
- Develop media lists and sustain media relationships with consumer press on behalf of clients and agency
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorms, coming prepared with creative ideas and thought starters for how we can pitch our clients and generate coverage
- Pitch target media and secure placements in top outlets across print, digital, broadcast, and podcast
- Manage and compile press clips and reports
- Support mailer ideation, research, and assembly
- Manage sample requests and tracking
- Manage and mentor PR interns
- Work with team on CBC House Programs and client events – including but not limited to vendor research, coordinating event logistics, on-site support, media relations
- Contribute to all team and company efforts, large and small
Qualifications:
- Relevant internship experience up to 1 year of post-graduate experience
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to work efficiently and creatively in a high-pressure, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Collaborative, dependable, and a team player eager to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Cision, Keynote, Zoom, MuckRack, Slack and Google Drive. Experience with Canva and Adobe is a plus.
Location:
• Boston, MA or New York City, NY (fully remote, Northeast preferred)
• CBC employees are remote with the occasional monthly in-person workdays or team-building activities.
