As an Azure Data Engineer, you will work closely with data architects, analysts, and other stakeholders to build and maintain robust data pipelines and solutions on Azure. You will use your expertise in Azure services and Python to handle large datasets, optimize performance, and ensure data quality.


Key Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Development:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other relevant Azure services.
  • Develop and maintain data integration solutions to ingest, process, and transform data from various sources.

Azure Services Utilization:

  • Leverage Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Blob Storage to create efficient and effective data solutions.
  • Implement and manage data storage solutions, ensuring data availability, reliability, and security.

Python Development:

  • Write and maintain Python scripts for data manipulation, automation, and custom transformations.
  • Develop and integrate Python-based data solutions with Azure services.

Performance Optimization:

  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines, queries, and storage solutions.
  • Implement best practices for data processing, including partitioning, indexing, and caching strategies.

Data Quality and Governance:

  • Ensure data quality and integrity through validation, cleansing, and auditing processes.
  • Implement data governance practices to comply with data privacy regulations and organizational standards.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on Azure services and Python.
  • Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other Azure data services.
  • Strong experience with Python for data processing, scripting, and automation.
  • Experience with SQL and database design.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, data lakes, and big data concepts.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
