Job Title: Senior Java Developer

Overview:

As a Java Developer, you will collaborate with Development Project Managers on the delivery of requirements, and contribute in design for projects as per the business needs. You should have experience with core Java, Spring boot, Microservices, REST API development, application security experience and databases. Good as an individual contributor as well.


Responsibilities:

Seeking to fulfill the position of a senior Java developer responsible for supporting, enhancing, and developing Java-based applications. The following will be the core responsibilities for this position:

  • Support the existing Java-based applications.
  • Implement new functionalities to the Java application.
  • Work with the quality assurance and other internal teams to test any enhancements made to the Java applications
  • Continually update documentations outlining the new development or enhancements made to the Java applications
  • Attend all required project meetings and provide status updates for all development activities


Requirements:

  • Experience working with multiple teams especially with Middleware Support, Unix, Database Support and Migration Teams.
  • Experience working in Java 7 and above. Java 8 is highly preferable.
  • Strong Understanding of Java / J2EE concepts (Java Servlet, JSP and Struts, Websphere application Servers, Tomcat Application Server)
  • Strong knowledge of Micro Services and understanding of devops tools. (Gitlab preferable)
  • Experience with working in frameworks like Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring JDBC, Hikari Connection Pooling.
  • Good understanding of application security (OWASP, OAuth2)
  • Good Understanding of Application Infrastructure components like Load balancers, Proxies, SSL, TLS and Cipher Suites.
  • Good knowledge of Single Sign on Implementations
  • Good experience in SQL, PL SQL (Preferably Sybase and Oracle)
  • Good understanding of SDLC and Release Control is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile methodology is a plus.
