Mercy Centre is a program of Catholic Charities located in Worcester, Massachusetts. Founded by the Sisters of Mercy and Catholic Charities in the 1960’s, the program serves over 100 adults with developmental disabilities in 4 different programs from the Worcester County extended area. Our programmatic services are tailored to meet individualized needs and preferences. The emphasis is placed on enriching lives through employment, training, skill building and a full range of activities. Each program fosters growth in building self-esteem, independence, communication skills and encourages interactions with peers and community members. 


We are currently looking for a Director of our Mercy Centre program. This individual will be responsible for the management, coordination and development of the Employment, Community Based Day Services (CBDS), and Day Habilitation Services offered through Mercy Centre. This individual will be involved in community activities and responsible for developing community relationships related to program initiatives.


Requirements include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Services, Business Administration, or related field, 3-5 years of experience in mid to senior-level management with nonprofit organizations, including adults with developmental disabilities, and a working knowledge of DDS and Mass Health policies and procedures. Additional requirements include demonstrated ability to work well with people at all professional levels, strong communication skills, and a strong knowledge of community resources.
