Senior Sales Associate

PART TIME • NEW YORK

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and service-oriented Senior Sales Associate to join our team As a Senior Sales Associate, you will assist customers with their shopping needs and ensure an excellent shopping experience. Responsibilities may include working the register, stocking shelves, processing inventory, and maintaining the store’s appearance. The ideal candidate must have 2 years previous experience in customer service and knowledge of cash register operation. 



Responsibilities 

  • Greet each customer with a smile and provide assistance while they are shopping
  • Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.
  • Work at a register to ring up and carry out customer sales.
  • Collect payments by credit card
  • Issue receipts and store credit to customers
  • Take added responsibility for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance.
  • Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company.
  • Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a sales associate, sales rep, or similar
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
  • Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
  • Willingness to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to quickly and accurately work a register
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule

Founded in 2007 by New York City stylist and Wholesale Director Laura Barker, Dot Reeder is a women's boutique, inspired and named after her grandmother. The shop was created to bring to the women of Montclair, NJ, a suburb of NYC, a refined point of view and a fresh perspective. More recently, a second location was opened in the summer of 2023 in New York City’s, West Village. Both shops host a thoughtfully curated selection of sought after collections including 6397, No.6, Nili Lotan, Ulla Johnson, Rachel Comey, Sibel Saral, and Common Projects to name a few.
