Summary:

• The Cybersecurity Analyst monitors, tracks, detects, and analyzes cyber threat activities and is an integral part of the Computer Network Defense (CND) Team.
• The analyst is the first line of defense in the discovery of cyber threats, characterization and attribution of those threats, creation and sharing of situational awareness, and the development of mitigation strategies.
• The Cybersecurity Analyst uses information collected from a variety of computer network defense resources (including, but not limited to, intrusion detection system alerts, firewall and network traffic logs, and host system logs) to identify, analyze, and report events that occur or might occur within the environment.
• The Cybersecurity Analyst is principally engaged in the incident handling, triage of events, network analysis and threat detection, forensic investigations, eDiscovery and litigation, trend analysis, metric development, and vulnerability information dissemination. CEH, SANS, or CISSP certifications preferred.
• 3 years of Incident Response and/or Forensic Investigation experience is required with a Bachelor's degree. 7 years of related experience can be accepted with HS Diploma/GED.
• Certifications within the Cybersecurity field preferred.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Required Education: High School or equivalent; Preferred - Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Required Experience: 7 years with a High School Diploma or Equivalent; 3 years with a Bachelors Degree.
