Compensation Range: $60-$79/hr


Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Tech Lead to join our technical team. This role involves significant hands-on work (50%) combined with thought leadership and strategy (50%) to establish a robust data governance framework. This position offers the unique opportunity to shape the foundation and long-term roadmap for our data governance tools and processes, enhancing our data management capabilities across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, configuration, engineering, integration, and implementation of data governance tools, with an initial focus on enhancing Microsoft Purview and exploring additional tooling options.
  • Provide thought leadership in data governance, driving the initiative forward and advising the technical teams supporting the data governance operations.
  • Develop and implement solutions for data lineage to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Ensure the Data Governance team is equipped with the necessary technology and support to manage data effectively.
  • Influence and establish best practices and standards for data management and security within the ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and integration of new technologies.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of upcoming projects involving data lakes and data migrations.


Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or at least 10 years of technical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology roles with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
  • Proficient in data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview; experience with other tools like Collibra, Informatica is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end data management and enabling corrective actions in data sources.
