Overview:

On Call Counsel is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal for a long-term contract role in NYC to assist with a variety of cases that require meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills. Hours are flexible as long as tasks are completed in a timely manner.


Location: Remote/Hybrid (Preference for NYC Candidates)

Position: Part-Time Litigation Paralegal (15-20 hours per week)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Billing and Documentation: Handle billings to clients, attach transmittal matters, and manage various administrative tasks.
  • Secretary Work: Perform secretarial duties including scheduling, correspondence, and maintaining case files.
  • Document Organization: Organize and manage documents, engage in further productions, and prepare for depositions.
  • Deposition Preparation: Assist in preparing deposition binders, both remotely and occasionally in-office.
  • Document Retrieval: Retrieve, work with, and format documents as needed.
  • eDiscovery and ESI Compliance: Ensure compliance with ESI federal court requirements and use relevant software efficiently.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years as a litigation paralegal, with federal court experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in eDiscovery and other legal software. Strong computer literacy is a must.
  • Document Management: Able to organize, format, and manage large volumes of legal documents.
  • Case Experience: Provide details of significant cases worked on, demonstrating competency in handling complex litigation.
  • Availability: Able to start as early as mid-June.
