**OPPORTUNITY **| **Paralegal**
Litchfield Cavo has 23 offices nationwide, and is quickly expanding. Our **New York City **office seeks a well-rounded, highly-motivated, **experienced Litigation Paralegal** to support our practicing litigation defense attorneys. Experience in insurance defense is a plus, but experience with billing and discovery is a must. This is an exceptional opportunity to handle a variety of law office responsibilities including all aspects of the discovery process with a forward-thinking firm, in an expanding office.

**SKILLS and ABILITIES**
- proven knowledge of electronic filing requirements at state and federal courts in **New York;**:

- excellent research and writing skills;
- work proactively, independently and as part of a team;
- ability to forecast and calendar court filings and docket deadlines;
- organize, prioritize and implement urgent tasks with strong attention to detail;
- provide excellent written and verbal communication;
- remain self-directed, self-motivated and effectively work under tight time constraints;
- ability to consistently create and deliver quality work products;
- demonstrate proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and PDF maker (Nuance or Adobe Pro); demonstrated efficiency navigating the internet;
- iManage experience a plus.
- a **Paralegal Certificate is not required, but preferred.**

The firm provides an experienced support staff, current technology, ongoing training, and full-time IT and marketing departments.
