Premier Indianapolis counseling agency is seeking a counselor for private practice position working with individuals, couples, families and/or groups. Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Counseling, or equivalent required. LSW or LMFTA preferred but not required to start. Our team of experienced and licensed counselors are available to coach and supervise to help you become a successful, fully licensed counselor. We are looking for motivated and hard working individuals passionate about helping people to achieve happier, healthier, and fuller lives. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills, be comfortable with conflict, have an approachable and professional demeanor, and have an eagerness to learn and grow as a counselor. Schedule is flexible however some evening hours are required. This is contract therapist position that will be very rewarding and lucrative for the right person. We have a wonderful, cohesive team ready for you to join


Responsibilities

Communicate with and schedule prospective clients.

Create a safe and therapeutic environment for clients to discuss their presenting issue(s).

Guide, teach, and counsel proven therapeutic techniques with clients to aide in them achieving their goals.

Maintain confidential therapeutic notes/records of sessions.

Attend weekly supervision meetings and complete annual CEU's as well as ongoing learning.

Run weekly group, if applicable.

Perform accounting functions for own business records.


Qualifications

Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Counseling, Mental Health Counseling, or Equivalent required.

Prefer initial licensure exam/requirements passed (LSW, LMFTA, etc.) but not required.
