Job Description

Principles of Operation:

Responsibilities: Through the application of professional standards and quality customer service, support local priesthood leaders as they minister to the members of their congregation.

Depending on candidate qualifications the position will be one of the following:

Counselor 3/Agency Contact (Grade 95)
  • Provide the highest quality of direct clinical care with minimal supervision
  • Provide the highest quality of consultation, and develop and maintain positive relationships with church leaders
  • Ensure legal, ethical and policy compliance
  • Evaluate and identify area needs, and develop community resources
  • Responsible for own continued professional development and serve as mentor for other staff as invited
  • Protects and ensures client confidentiality
  • Develop and fulfill 'whole area service plan', including traveling to outlying areas and overnight as needed, working evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • As assigned, provide clinical and or agency supervision to Counselors 1 and 2 and Interns.
Agency Manager (Grade 96)
  • Enhance the quality and quantity of direct services with priority to ecclesiastical consultation
  • Supervision and development of all agency staff
  • Ensure agency legal, ethical and policy compliance
  • Protects and ensures client confidentiality for self and agency
  • Managing agency budget and resources
  • Ensuring an effective and functioning advisory board
  • Facilitating coordination between other welfare divisions and church departments
  • Overseeing employee relations including recruitment, onboarding, supervision and evaluation
  • Providing interns with a foundational robust quality professional experience
  • Provide the highest quality of direct clinical care with minimal supervision
  • Provide the highest quality of consultation, and develop and maintain positive relationships with church leaders
  • Evaluate and identify area needs, and develop community resources
  • Responsible for own continued professional development and serve as mentor for other staff as invited
  • Develop and fulfill 'whole area service plan', including coordinating travel to outlying areas and overnight as needed, evening, weekend and holiday work.
  • Responsible for fiscal operations and resource management, including GHRIS, BAML and IAN.
  • Responsible for ATI, MSR, Annual service planning and year end evaluations, vehicle reports and physical facility related issues.
  • Develop relationships with industry professionals and network with community resources as referral sources.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:
Counselor 3/Agency Contact
  • Masters' degree in Social Work, MFT, Counseling Psychology or related degree that leads to clinical licensure.
  • Hold and maintain a current clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or another related clinical license).
  • Minimum 5 years post masters' professional experience including 3 years post independent licensure. 1 year of post independent licensure may be replaced by NOJOS and DOC credentialing for Sexual Abuse Treatment Team (SATT).
Agency Manager
  • Masters' degree in Social Work, MFT, Counseling Psychology or related degree that leads to clinical licensure.
  • Hold and maintain a current clinical license (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or another related clinical license).
  • Minimum 7 years post masters' professional experience including 5 years post independent licensure.
Demonstrated Skills & Abilities: Identify what experience-based skills and abilities the successful incumbent for this role will possess
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision of others pursuing clinical licensure.
  • Use of various and appropriate therapies to support client needs.
  • Ability to work remotely i.e., teletherapy.
  • Demonstrate advanced clinical skills and receptiveness to feedback.
  • Ability to work independently and motivated to accomplish the work.
  • Ability to train a variety of audiences on a range of mental health services and best practices.
  • High quality customer service to both clients and local leaders.
  • Maintain licensing requirements and high professional standards of practice.
  • Personal alignment to the doctrines and polices of the Church as related to current social issues.
  • Provide counseling in Spanish.
Specific Degrees, Certifications, Licenses: Identify any required or preferred specialized degrees, etc., if any, required for this role
  • LCSW, LMFT, LPC or another Clinical Licensure
