Adecco is partnering with a manufacturing company in Niles, IL to find A Power Electronics Engineer. The Power Electronics Engineer is responsible for product design, mentoring fellow engineers, and contributing to process improvements, strategic initiatives, and presentations. This role involves minimal supervision and a high degree of independent work. The Power Electronics Engineer maintains a comprehensive understanding of the project portfolio, its interactions, and any related issues. This position entails substantial interaction with industry contacts and customers and a deep awareness of industry trends. Additionally, the role involves participating in enterprise-level negotiations and providing technical assessments for new opportunities within the PLC framework.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate various project phases
- Conduct in-depth research assignments
- Advocate for company-wide process improvements
- Draft product design guidelines
- Execute conventional engineering practices with complex elements
- Offer support to sales, manufacturing, purchasing, and development teams
- Independently troubleshoot and analyze system issues
- Set technical direction for complex projects
- Ensure designs comply with manufacturability, testability, and reliability standards
- Design, support, and test hardware boards and systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferably electrical engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Power Electronics.
Salary Range: $120k-$180k/yr dependent on experience.
