Structured Fixed Income Execution Trader

A Dallas-based Fixed Income Asset Manager is looking for a junior structured products fixed-income Trading Associate to work directly with portfolio managers. The role will focus on executing fixed-income trades (US Treasuries, ABS, CMBS, MBS) and fixed income derivatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Investment Portfolio Team to execute fixed income transactions.
  • Work closely with Quantitative Research to implement fixed income derivative hedging strategies.
  • Execute all US Treasuries, MBS, CMBS, ABS, and related derivative trades.
  • Work as the trading room fixed income market guru, providing constant market insights and analysis for the investment team.
  • Serve as the trading room contact with market counterparties for fixed income and derivatives trades.
  • Provide valuable market insights that would support best execution of fixed income and derivative transactions.

Requirements:

  • Must have 3-5 years of buy-side front-office structured products trading desk experience.
  • Must have 3-5 years of developing fixed income derivatives hedging strategies for an asset manager, investment manager, bank portfolio, insurance company, or hedge fund.
  • Must have structured product knowledge. (ABS, CMBS, MBS).
  • Must have proven experience working with major fixed income and derivatives counterparties (broker and dealers)
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Client can only hire US Citizens or Permanent Residents- No Visa sponsorship
