Join Our Team as a Drug Product Development Scientist
Our innovative client is seeking a talented and driven individual to join our Injectable Drug Product Development group within the Analytical and Pharmaceutical Development department. In this role, you'll play a critical part in the characterization and development of drug products, including combination products at high protein concentrations and commercial products.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct experimental studies focused on drug product characterization, formulation development, and safety risk assessments of excipients and process reagents.
- Perform extractables and leachables testing, in-use compatibility studies for intravenous and subcutaneous administration, and process development to support drug product manufacturing.
- Execute particulates testing and other studies with minimal supervision, compiling and processing data to generate development reports and required documentation.
- Support tech transfer activities for internal manufacturing and contract manufacturing sites.
- Assist in preparing and delivering internal technical reports and presentations.
- Participate actively in department meetings and contribute to team-building activities.
What You’ll Need:
- A BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or an MS degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.
- A strong background in protein chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Scientific and practical knowledge of protein chemistry or drug product processes.
- Experience in biotherapeutics development and an understanding of the biotechnology product lifecycle, particularly factors impacting protein molecule stability, is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation used in protein pharmaceutical and analytical development, along with knowledge of cGMP and quality guidelines.
- Ability to take initiative, solve scientific challenges, and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative environment.
