Position: IT Project Manager

Location: Hybrid onsite in Cape Canaveral, FL

Duration: Contract to Hire

Rate Range: $55-60 per hour

Position Overview:

This Project Manager will be supporting one of the largest multi-year projects our DOD client is currently working on

They are in process of moving multiple applications from one network to another, in some cases will also be duplicating the apps


Looking for a strong IT Project Manager that has experience running multiple projects at a time. Needs to be familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Requirements:

1. 5+ years experience as a Software Project Manager

2. Experience managing budgets/financials

3. Bachelors Degree

4. Ability to obtain a secret clearance (USC)

5. MS Project


Preferred Experience:

1. PMP Certified (highly preferred)

2. Jira/Confluence

3. DOD experience


Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:


  1. Overseeing Software Projects: You manage software projects from start to finish, ensuring they stay on track and meet their goals
  2. Prioritizing with Clients: They agree on priorities with clients.
  3. Resource Planning: Project managers plan and allocate resources.
  4. Creating Project Plans: They develop detailed project plans.
  5. Communicating Milestones: Project managers communicate key milestones to the team and clients.
  6. Internal Communication: They share project plans internally and with relevant stakeholders.
  7. Reporting and Metrics: Producing reports for management, including performance metrics.
  8. Stakeholder Communication: Regular communication with sponsors and stakeholders.
  9. Team Management: You motivate and guide software developers and other team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  10. Customer Presentations: You may give presentations to clients, explaining project progress and outcomes.
  11. Resource Allocation: You allocate resources (such as time, budget, and personnel) effectively.
