Program Manager

 

The Program Manager is responsible for deepening the client relationship and increasing revenue with assigned Fortune 500 client. This position acts as the primary point-of-contact for all internal and external client communications, activities and directives including, but not limited to, quotes, projects and engineering requests. They will oversee all awarded projects from inception to completion and is accountable for being the expert on all aspects of the customer’s business portfolio. The position requires looking for ways to add value to the client relationship and partnering closely with various departments to ensure accurate, complete understanding and execution of the customer’s needs, expectations and specific project requirements, including the ability to communicate technical information related to production of client portfolio. Candidate must have demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role, project management coordination, delegation and execution expertise, and the ability to maintain or exceed the professional standards and IKI Core. Successful candidate will have a strong aptitude for critical, analytical and strategic thinking, along with the ability to provide leadership by influence across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Acts as the client liaison for all project management including NPD and EPD and owns the internal orchestration of tasks and the execution of all project deliverables.

• Works closely with operations team to ensure they fully understand all aspects of a given project. •Assists with the delegation of tasks to expedite internal job assignments and keep the project moving forward.

•Ability to utilize product development methods and tools to solve technical problems and deliver against product design criteria.

• Be and expert in the operation and performance of all ERP system and IKI process requirements related to the company’s sales support efforts.

• Responsible for development and/or communication of customer-specific standards, metrics and requirements, overseeing work quality and execution, managing deadlines and ensuring quality control/inspection functions are completed.

• Is the subject matter expert on all aspects of assigned customer accounts. Exhibits a complete understanding of the client’s business, products, projects and expectations.

• Collaborates, supports and facilitates cross-functional communication efforts and coordinates follow-up activities with resource departments like R&D, Engineering, Quality, Operations. Works closely with production departments on all projects.

• Continuously looks for new ways to add value to the client relationship – through customer service, data management, reporting, proactive communication, and presentations.

• Some travel is required to cultivate the client relationship, collaborate on awarded projects, and assist the customer with go-forward decision making to further grow the business.

• Works closely with the executive management team to strategize on pricing, sales forecasting and issue resolution to ensure customer satisfaction and continued business growth.

Education and/or Experience

A bachelor’s degree is required, Engineering or Chemistry preferred. Must have background in Manufacturing Operations or Chemistry, along with project management experience. Experience working in the Consumer Packaged Goods(CPG) industry is strongly preferred.

 

Communication Skills

Must have strong communication skills and ability to provide clear and consistent communication both internally and externally and effectively provide updates and escalations to IKI leadership and client as necessary. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and establish strong relationships internally and externally across all levels.


Organizational Skills

Must have strong time management and prioritizing capabilities. Able to organize, manage and complete all workflow commitments based on organizational and customer demands. Strong personal communication skills and the ability to work with constantly changing priorities are required.

Computer Skills

Computer knowledge is required including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with proven proficiency in Excel. Possesses the ability to accurately and efficiently perform daily data entry operations and capture and update client projects from end-to-end.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast paced and may require overtime as the workload dictates. While this will be primarily in an office environment, there will be times when effort and leadership will be required in the production area to ensure accurate and timely project execution. A hybrid work arrangement can be offered for this role.

Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, prior experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
