Place Services, Inc. has an immediate need for an experienced Special Projects Manager of Grocery Construction in our Kennesaw, GA location to contribute to and lead a team of 3-5 individuals that are responsible for the successful completion of nationwide, high logistic, high volume, and short timeline projects for our growing Grocery Division. Projects will have an approximate length of 1-4 weeks with a value of $50K-200KM each.

What You’ll Do:


  • Strategic Leadership & Vision: Lead the Special Projects Team Division to success via developing and implementing strategies that align with the company’s core values. You will be responsible for driving growth in unique projects specific to the grocery team ensuring outcomes exceed client expectations.
  • Finance Planning and Budgeting: Lead the financial planning, budgeting, monitoring, evaluation and overall success of projects and programs they are responsible for
  • Personnel Leadership: Lead and mentor a team toward project and operational excellence. Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment, with a strong emphasis on empowering leaders to excel in their roles.
  • Human Resources & Team Environment: Promote a positive and healthy work environment by enforcing HR standards. Contribute to the personal and professional growth of team members and ensure a supportive and productive culture that values integrity and respect.
  • Team Building: Foster a collaborative work environment by leading cross-functional teams, promoting open communication, and encouraging the sharing of ideas to achieve organizational goals and enhance overall team performance.
  • Client Management & Business Development: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients in the grocery sector. Proactively identify business growth opportunities and ensure the division is positioned to deliver on commitments and exceed client expectations.
  • Field Operations: Oversee all division field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and with the highest level of quality.
  • Operational Excellence & Safety: Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all special projects comply with safety regulations and that team members prioritize safe work practices. Implement and refine operational policies to support successful project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality.

  • A seasoned leader with substantial construction field leadership and project management oversight experience who is dedicated to upholding the company’s core values and creating a safe, productive and collaborative work environment
  • Experienced in managing construction operations, with expertise in field leadership and project management oversight for large-scale grocery or retail projects.
  • A proactive decision-maker with a track record of successfully leading change management initiatives and achieving outstanding results.
  • A business-savvy leader with experience in managing financial operations, including P&L oversight and resource optimization.


What You’ll Bring:


  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with substantial leadership experience overseeing a team and client projects that are critical to the success of the client’s business.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Proven success in retail/grocery construction projects, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and exceed client expectations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Experience in managing financial operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and profitability in a high-volume division.
  • A leadership style that aligns with the company’s core values, fostering teamwork, safety, and integrity across all levels of the division.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
