As a Mental Health Therapist at MHC, you will work alongside clients with emotional, behavioral and mental health disorders in an Inpatient mental health residential setting. Our clients are dealing with things such as stress, grief, addiction and trauma. The Mental Health Therapist will also work with patients who have higher-acuity disorders, such as Anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder or Borderline Personality Disorder.
Other responsibilities include:
- Therapy sessions including one-to-one, group therapy and family sessions
- Completing biopsychosocials (BPS)
- Developing treatment plans
- Crisis Intervention
- Facilitating groups
- Documenting in client charts
- Discuss progress towards clients’ goals
- Other duties assigned as need arises and according to programmatic need
This Mental Health Therapist position is versatile, and the duties may change from day to day so the ability to prioritize job functions is key
Bonus skills for the Mental Health Therapist position are:
- Experience in primary mental health and dual diagnosis inpatient treatment setting (preferred)
- CBT and evidence-based experience a plus
- Experience with trauma and eating disorders (preferred)
