Procurement Specialist

Engine Power Source is a leading builder and distributor of Kubota engine packages, committed to delivering high-quality and reliable power solutions for a wide range of industrial equipment. We are currently looking for a dedicated Purchasing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ordering products, services, and raw materials to meet company needs, managing the flow of goods and ensuring timely procurement to support our production and distribution processes.
What You’d Do:
- Order products, services, and raw materials based on demand, required dates, total need, and current inventory levels to ensure efficient operation.
- Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring they meet required due dates and resolving any delays or discrepancies promptly.
- Expedite confirmed purchase orders that do not meet the required delivery date, ensuring materials arrive on time to avoid production delays.
- Escalate any confirmed purchase orders that cannot be expedited to meet the required delivery date to the purchasing manager for resolution.
- Maintain pricing accuracy by resolving any discrepancies at the time of order confirmation and escalating significant pricing issues to the purchasing manager.
- Maintain supplier incident records and manage supplier relationships through the EPS Supplier Quality Management System, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Work effectively as a team member, promoting the exchange of ideas, information, and feedback to drive continuous improvement in the purchasing process.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years of previous experience in business administration, procurement, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as spreadsheets, email, and database software to manage purchasing activities and track orders.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors, suppliers, and internal colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and keep detailed records of orders, supplier interactions, and discrepancies.
- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate purchase records, order confirmations, and supplier information.
This position is onsite at our Rock Hill, SC headquarters. The standard schedule is Monday – Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM. All new hires must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
