Responsibilities for the Business Planning & EPMO Manager:

Project Management:

§ Determine and define project scope and objectives

§ Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

§ Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements

§ Track project costs in order to meet budget

§ Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan, assign tasks and communicate expected deliverables

§ Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress

§ Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution

§ Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed

§ Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

§ Lead between 1-3 projects at any given time depending on business need and project complexity

Business Planning and Strategic Initiatives:

§ Supervise Critical Business Planning cycles for the organization

§ Lead Executive discussions providing strategic input and decision making

§ Lead/control meetings and deliverables through effective analytical and storytelling skills

§ Develop advanced decision making analysis, frameworks & Impact deliverables

§ Facilitate key support groups development of their strategies based on guidance

§ Manage Executive Communications for Top Management by developing best in class presentation and communication materials

Qualifications for Business Planning & EPMO Manager:

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field

• Project Management Qualifications:

o 6+ years of strategic initiative / project management and related experience (8+ Years strongly preferred)

o Proven ability to solve problems creatively – Out-of-the-box thinker

o Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices

o Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle

o Excellent analytical skills

o Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful

o Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline

o Agile and adaptable leader who is comfortable shifting focus/direction as business needs change

o Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus

• Business Planning/Strategic Initiative Qualifications:

o 3+ years’ experience as a strategic and problem solving thinker who can turn strategic objectives into practical (experience working in operational consulting or internal strategy/planning roles preferred)

o Demonstrates extensive knowledge of, and/or success in operations roles within a professional services firm or corporate environment, helping companies to identify, clarify and resolve complex issues critical to their strategic and operating success

o Expert in Powerpoint/Excel

o Very strong verbal and written communication skills for establishing relationships cross-functionally and cross-division

o Strong presentation skills demonstrating the ability for effective story telling

o Expert in Excel and experience with developing complex macros and automation in Excel


Education:

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field

• Required experience:

o 6+ years of strategic initiative / project management and related experience (8+ strongly preferred)

o 3+ years’ experience as a strategic and problem solving thinker who can turn strategic objectives into practical execution plans (experience working in operational consulting or internal strategy/planning roles preferred)

• PMP certification (or MBA) a plus
