Ferruzzo & Ferruzzo, LLP is seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney with six (6) to twelve (12) years of comprehensive expertise in navigating the complexities of real estate transactions including financial instruments. This position offers the opportunity to work within a collegiate environment, collaborating with a range of Partners, and assisting in various legal matters within the Corporate and Real Estate Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in real estate transactions with a strong understanding of finance principles. This role presents the potential for leadership and growth within the firm's Real Estate Practice.


Key Responsibilities

General Work:

  • Represent clients independently or alongside other attorneys in meetings, proceedings, and negotiations.
  • Manage multiple legal matters simultaneously and independently.
  • Distribute assignments among associates and support staff.
  • Prepare case theories and memorandums.
  • Conduct due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts and agreements.
  • Report progress of matters to Senior Management.
  • Prepare reports to keep the Firm’s staff and clients updated on case progress.

Client Management:

  • Consult with Managing Partner and Practice Group Leaders on client matters.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with clients through effective communication and explanation of legal proceedings.
  • Build and develop relationships with clients, understanding their businesses, economic drivers, and sector requirements.

Business Development:

  • Participate in business development and marketing initiatives to build the practice.
  • Prospect for new clients through marketing, networking, writing articles, and speaking engagements.
  • Contribute to Firm values and culture through participation in Corporate Social Responsibility, pro-bono, and social activities.
  • Coach associate attorneys and legal assistants, building their capacity and skills.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the California State Bar
  • Six (6) to twelve (12) years of relevant experience, with real estate transactions and financial instruments.
  • Strong leadership skills with a desire for growth and advancement within the firm.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated track record in client management and business development.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and Firm values.


Total Rewards

  • Competitive base salary $150-225k, dependent on experience and client portfolio
