ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will set the tone for your store team and help bring our brand to life for our customers and employees. You are the CEO of your store, and your leadership is critical in setting and executing the store strategy to achieve performance goals and drive profitable sales growth through all aspects of retail management, including customer and product operations, merchandising, compliance, and talent development. Through collaboration with your leadership team, your goal is to teach others and coach behaviors to cultivate a high performing team that meets or exceeds goals.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

·      Leads the entire store team to create an exceptional experience for customers and employees, and to exceed sales goals.

  • Recruit, hire, and develop people to drive a culture of compliance, customer service, metric driven performance, and engagement.
  • Accountable for team performance through teaching, coaching and providing meaningful feedback to build capabilities.
  • Support strategies and processes using a customer centric mindset to deliver results, drive store sales, and maximize efficiencies and productivity.
  • Represent the brand and understand the competition and retail landscape.
  • Establish local partnerships and promote community involvement.
  • Adapt team priorities to respond to customer and business partner needs.
  • Develop other leaders to grow in their careers and progress within the company

 

Criteria

o  21 years of age or older with the ability to pass a live scan background check.

o  Minimum 3 years of previous retail general manager experience or management experience in a customer service-related field - Required

o  Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills.

o  Superior critical thinking skills to creatively identify challenges and develop action plans in a timely manner.

o  Great time management skills and ability to execute multiple tasks and appropriately manage competing priorities.

o  Ability to understand accounting principles, interpret financial data and analyze financial reports. 

o  Cannabis experience preferred but not required.

o  Experience in a unionized environment preferred but not required.

o  Experience with regulated product categories preferred but not required.

  • Some weekends, some closing shifts, some opening shifts required.

 

Physical Requirements

o  Must be able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time.

o  Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.

o  Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business.
