The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team onsite in NYC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL, TypeScript, and Next.js, with a passion for tackling scalability challenges. This is a crucial role in the engineering team, where you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our core platform, ensuring it can scale to meet the growing demands of our user base.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable full stack applications using Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL, TypeScript, and Next.js.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring our platform remains responsive and scalable as our user base grows.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and helping to maintain high coding standards.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of the platform.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in full stack development, with a focus on Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL, TypeScript, and Next.js.
  • Proven experience in building scalable web applications and addressing scalability challenges.
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization techniques and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to overcome technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a start-up environment is highly desirable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
  • Passion for innovation and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences through high-quality engineering.
