POSITION SUMMARY:

The Inventory Planning Manager will play a crucial role in managing our forecasts and inventory to ensure efficiency and profitability. This position requires deep knowledge of demand and inventory planning and analytics, as well as extensive experience with mass retailers like Target. The ideal candidate will be adept in financial modeling and reporting and will possess strong Excel spreadsheet skills. We are looking for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who can manage complex inventory systems and drive improvements.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

·      Collaborate with sales and operations teams to develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce costs, and ensure product availability for our retail partners.

·      Create and maintain complex financial models and reports to track inventory performance, forecast future needs, and support decision-making processes.

·      Manage relationships with key stakeholders at mass retailers, ensuring compliance with inventory requirements and maximizing partnership opportunities.

·      Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze large datasets, generate insights, and produce informative, actionable, and repeatable reports.

·      Lead continuous improvement initiatives in inventory practices, incorporating the latest industry trends and technologies.

·      Oversee, control, and report on inventory levels of finished product for sale. Manage inventory obsolescence reporting and strategies.

·      Lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) reviews and communications: prepare all data and metrics for review, identify gaps and scenarios for presentation, guide final decision-making on open items and trade-offs, and prepare escalations for executive review where appropriate.

·      Conduct quarterly hindsight and detailed review of performance, providing recommendations and guidance for future planning.

·      Support additional projects as assigned by Leadership.


EXPERIENCE:

·      Bachelor’s degree - Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.

·      Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory planning and management, preferably with exposure to mass retail environments.

·      Strong knowledge of supply-chain best practices, including Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

·      Exposure to NetSuite ERP system is ideal.

·      Proven expertise in financial modeling, Excel, and data analysis tools.

·      Strong understanding of retail and supply chain dynamics, especially in working with large retailers like Target.

·      Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.

·      Strong cross-functional team skills, including ability to identify and resolve issues and opportunities.

·      Excel in mathematics and statistics as it relates to demand planning.

·      Ability to present and recommend strategies, able to present complex material in an organized and compelling manner.

·      Accountability for driving results and solving problems.
