Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Design to join our team in Glendora, CA.
  • This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for a mid-level to senior engineer with hands-on experience in AutoCAD and Revit within the commercial construction industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and design electrical systems for MEP projects in commercial construction, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and other low-voltage systems.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to produce and modify detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with architects, project managers, contractors, and other engineering disciplines (mechanical, plumbing) to ensure successful project execution.
  • Perform electrical calculations, including load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations.
  • Conduct site visits to oversee installation and ensure compliance with design specifications and codes.
  • Troubleshoot electrical design issues and provide timely solutions to field teams.
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of project milestones.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and reports for project submissions and client presentations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design, specifically in MEP design for commercial construction projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
