CASTILLO HARPER, APC is a full-service law firm located in Riverside, CA, dedicated to the representation of first-responders and their families. The majority of our practice focuses on representing police and correctional supervisors in their employment. As such, we specialize in civil litigation, employment/administrative defense, criminal defense, family law, and general counsel matters. Our firm also handles contract negotiations for labor unions, unemployment (EDD) hearings, DMV suspensions, restraining orders, CCW denial appeals, and representations at criminal and civil grand juries.


Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Attorney at CASTILLO HARPER, APC. Quality of life is important to us, and we work hard to ensure our employees have work-life balance. The position is based primarily in our Riverside office but with some flexibility for remote work. Some travel is required, as is a valid CDL.


The Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice, conducting research, negotiating contracts, and representing clients in various legal matters, to include employment arbitrations and in court. The work is very rewarding, especially for someone who supports law enforcement. As an attorney at our firm, you will get to "choose your own adventure" and apply your skills to the areas that interest you most.


We offer a competitive benefits package, pay state bar dues and MCLE, pay travel expenses, pay for conferences/education, and assist in attorney publishing. We front load PTO and encourage you to use it. Minimum billable hours are a regular work schedule with bonus schedule.


Qualifications

  • Strong research and writing skills

  • Ability to work independently and remotely (with mentoring)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Admission to the State Bar of California
  • Additional experience or knowledge in family law and/or criminal defense is a plus
