Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and versatile Software Engineering Manager to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will work across all three companies within the Group, playing a key role in driving our technical projects and strategic initiatives.

You will manage a team of skilled engineers, ensuring the successful implementation of Agile methodologies, cloud services, and API integrations.

This position offers the potential for growth into VP or CTO roles, making it an exciting opportunity for a driven and personable leader.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Ensure professional development and successful project delivery.
  • Agile Methodologies: Implement and champion Agile practices across teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Facilitate Agile ceremonies and continuously improve processes.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide technical direction and oversight for software development projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
  • Cloud & API Integration: Utilize your expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) and API integration to design and deploy scalable, secure, and reliable systems.
  • Cross-Company Collaboration: Work closely with product management, operations, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and timelines. Ensure seamless communication and coordination across all three companies within the group.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning and direction of the company’s technology initiatives. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Versatility: Adapt to various roles and responsibilities as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Communication: Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and ensure smooth project execution.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience leading Agile teams.
  • Expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) and API integration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in strategic planning and contributing to the growth of an engineering team.
  • A proactive, adaptable, and versatile approach to work.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a startup or fast-growing technology company.
  • Background in developing and deploying scalable and secure software solutions.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices, including DevOps and CI/CD.
