The Project Engineer / Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects related to the development of hydrogen fuel cells and associated components. This position requires a blend of engineering knowledge and project management expertise. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cross-disciplinary teams and be able to balance technical challenges with project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage multiple fuel cell development projects from concept through production, ensuring they meet technical, financial, and timeline objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the seamless integration of fuel cell systems, test stands, and components.
  • Coordinate project planning, including setting milestones, managing resources, and tracking project progress.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide project updates, address challenges, and align project goals with business objectives.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate delays, budget overruns, and technical challenges.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete and compliant with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and upper management, translating technical progress into actionable business insights.
  • Support the engineering team in troubleshooting technical issues and providing guidance on system development.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or Project Management.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in project engineering or project management, preferably within the automotive, renewable energy, or fuel cell industries.
  • Knowledge of hydrogen fuel cell systems, control systems, and electrical components and/or heavy duty automotive industry standards.
  • Proven experience managing complex technical projects, including scope definition, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Experience managing projects involving high-voltage systems, compressed gases, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and the ability to lead teams through problem-solving efforts.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and other project management tools.


Desired Skills:

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training is highly desirable.
