Job Title: Project Controls Manager

Amtrak is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of complex capital construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and other scheduling tools.
  • Perform schedule risk analysis and develop mitigation plans to ensure project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project controls data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Develop and implement project controls processes and procedures to ensure compliance with Amtrak's project management standards.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on project controls best practices and tools.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 9 years of experience in construction project scheduling and project controls, with at least 5 years on complex projects.
  • 5 years of experience as a scheduler using Primavera P6.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience in large complex capital construction project scheduling or cost control.
  • PMP or PMI-SP certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Experience performing or leading project controls for mid to large capital construction projects.
  • Experience with linear scheduling tools and methods.
  • Oracle Primavera P6 certification.
