"The Data Engineer works with multidisciplinary IT Digital and Business teams to understand the data needs of the organization and provide solutions that promote consistent data design across the value chain They collaborate with peers to make

the appropriate data accessible and available to various data consumers and systems ensuring that the data solutions are in line with the overall organizations technology security and governance strategies and mandates


Data Engineers

Knowledge of Azure ADF is a must

Develop maintain and document detailed logical and physical data models data dictionaries and data flow diagrams

Lead and participate in gathering complex and often unique business requirements by defining the business problem and data requirements

Employ a variety of techniques and tools to marry systems together for data ingestion and integration

Reinforce the value and use of data to business subject matter experts

Consume best practices and ideas on effective data sharing and consumption

Manage and secure the flow of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources

In partnership with delivery teams ensure data solution design and flow will support the requirements of the business

Maintain data governance and stewardship in collaboration with the data architects

Define hierarchies and affiliation data rules and reference and master data distribution

Improve data reliability quality and efficiency

Evangelize data centricity and reuse of data assets

Primary Deliverables Data architecture diagrams logical and physical data models data profiling reports and data audits data definitions data taxonomy and mapping data or metadata management data sourcing data metrics metadata data lineage ETL services databases reports

Preferred Knowledge Skills Abilities

Database systems SQL and NoSQL

Data warehousing solutions Experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse on Azure Cloud is a plus
